It was a virgin head except for the exhaust flanges and obviously run very little or not at all. It was braze welded, and later fell off, the piece lost. Top rocker stud side perfect condition with original long pressed-in, pinned studs are locked small Allen screws oem gm bottom condition valve seat angles amazingly intact cutter marks still visible on seats from the cutting tools - this cylinder head was run very little. This is a rare cylinder head and well worth salvaging.

These heads were first offered new and run in NASCAR NRA during the 1963 season. No porting or milling anywhere. Exhaust side the manifold bolt flanges need repair. This does not affect the sealing of exhaust manifold or header on ports it seals inboard bolt hole.

It can be touched up with modern nickel Nimrod welding if you wish, or run as is. The ports and valve seats are in excellent good condition. Chamber size 64cc, high compression, closed heads have not been milled, no porting, casting lines still visible inside ports. Still a very good cylinder head for Pontiac today, the sd421 high intake ports, and larger exhaust ports flow more than any other d-port.

02 intake, Free shipping in USA look at all pictures closely as they are the best of this cylinder head. 77 diameter Pontiac exhaust valve. Intake port side perfect condition, no heat crossover being it was a racing head.

The far left port has a mounting ear boss broken off. Will bolt to any Pontiac v8 engine 455, also the 195 CID 4-cylinder. The exhaust ports have a chunk taken out of left side mounting ear boss, and broken bolt stud in right hole. The broken stud needs to be removed punched, drilled out preferably on a Bridgeport machine.

An ear from any other Pontiac head can be welded on to repair it. The right side exhaust flange also had a broken that was repaired by braze welding and is holding well.
