I've wire wheeled the bottom of cylinder head inspected this for cracks. I've taken close up photos of every cylinder so the prospective buyer can see for themselves that there are no cracks present. I am not if Mercedes made slight changes to the sure metallurgy is different between cylinder heads on non-turbo and Turbo diesel, so therefore, only suggest this head for a NON-TURBO W123 wagon application. Later wagons were fitted with Turbo diesel engines and this cylinder head MAY NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH A TURBODIESEL ENGINE due to the higher combustion chamber temperatures differences in valve sizes seat materials.

I've seen nearly every Turbo diesel head that pulled has had some hairline cracks in it around the combustion chamber area. Other applications are done purely at your risk and research!, The cylinder head is bare comes exactly as shown does not come with valves, springs, studs, pre chambers, etc all of those non-wear items can be swapped over from existing engine valves springs bolts, should replaced brand new anytime you're doing a swap. These are most commonly found around the pre chamber tip area as well between valves. Good used, crack free NON-TURBO wagon cylinder head for 1979 and 1980 Mercedes 300TD wagons.
