There is very light surface rust here and there that could be cleaned up with chemical rust remover and does not appear to need any kind of machine work.
The combustion chambers are just as they should be, no carbon and spotless.
Raw cast iron has a very distinct look unlike blasted shot preened iron. I see no evidence of this ever being installed and run or re machined. Packaged the head weighs 32 lbs.
There is no pitting inside the water jackets.. There were still wires from the parts tag laced through the water port bolt holes, the paper was long gone. There are absolutely no marks from attaching hardware, the plug threads look as if they were cut yesterday though there is very light surface rust.
