Pros of buying a 1940 Dodge radiator for a hot rod or rat rod project:

1. Authenticity: The 1940 Dodge radiator is an original part from a classic American car, which can add to the overall vintage look and feel of your hot rod or rat rod.

2. Availability: Radiators for older cars, such as the 1940 Dodge, can be easier to find than newer parts, which can save you time and money in your search.

3. Durability: Older radiators, like the one from a 1940 Dodge, are often built to last and are designed to handle the heat of an engine for extended periods of time.

Cons of buying a 1940 Dodge radiator for a hot rod or rat rod project:

1. Fit and Compatibility: The 1940 Dodge radiator may not fit perfectly in your hot rod or rat rod, as the engine and cooling system layout may be different. This may require modifications to the radiator or the vehicle to make it work.

2. Age and Condition: Older parts, such as the 1940 Dodge radiator, may have been used and maintained improperly, which can lead to issues such as leaks, corrosion, or damage.

3. Cost: While older parts can be more affordable than new ones, the cost of a 1940 Dodge radiator can still add up, especially if you need to make modifications or repairs to make it work.

Conclusion: The 1940 Dodge radiator can be a good fit for a hot rod or rat rod project, as it adds to the overall vintage look and feel of the vehicle and is often durable. However, it's important to be aware of potential fit and compatibility issues, as well as the potential cost of modifications or repairs. If you're set on using a classic radiator, make sure to thoroughly research and inspect the part before purchasing to ensure that it's in good condition and will work well in your vehicle.

Recommendation: If you're looking for a classic radiator for your hot rod or rat rod, the 1940 Dodge radiator can be a good option. However, I recommend doing your research and thoroughly inspecting the part before purchasing to ensure that it's in good condition and will work well in your vehicle. Additionally, consider the cost of any needed modifications or repairs, and make sure that you have the skills and resources to complete them. Ultimately, the decision to use a 1940 Dodge radiator in your project should be based on your specific needs and goals.

Details:

This a very nice radiator that I pulled from 1940 Dodge sedan with less than 40,000 miles on it. This is how it came out and I never cleaned. It was still full of clean green anti-freeze when pulled and showed no sign ever leaking.

Please within 24 hrs of offers end and pay in a timely manner. Very straight and clean could look like new.
