This head has been magnafluxed and checked out OK with no cracks. 281 exhaust valve - same sizes used in the 1500 and 1600 engines as from '55 through '61. A cylinder head made by BC for use in the Mga with 1600 engine.

This head will work on any BC Morris, Austin, mg, Wolsey, etc. It appears that has never been skimmed, so you should not have problems with compression getting out of street able range. Casting number 1h967, corresponds to part numbers 48G31 and 48G222. Figure on giving it a full valve job and skim.
