The inlet valves are This head came with a parts car. This part came from a 1972 spitfire. 5:1 on flat-top pistons or 7.

The casting number is. The stamped part number is on most other spitfire heads. 17 same as other spitfire heads. No air injection ports.

The head appears to be in pretty good shape. 5:1 compression with the flat top pistons on a 1296 bore - or if fitted 1493 it would give 8. I haven't dismantled it to check them out in detail but they look visibly OK from what you can see and would most likely be re-usable.

On visual inspection no cracks or other damage. Exhaust valves are Comes with full set of valves and springs. According to my reference sources this head has approximately 44 cc combustion chamber volume and would give 7.
